Most hid bulb replacements are sold in pairs and it's good to get them this way since most tend to go out at the same time (I had a set go out with in a week of eachother).

Are you looking for color or output? if you are worried about color and like the 8000k you have than stick with it, me personally I'd not go over 6000k, simply because the higher the K temperature the lower the output as well as the less efficient the light is at illuminating things.

yea the ones i've seen on ebay come in pairs..which is always good..but would the replacement bulbs with a certain brand name fit/work with another brand named ballast and if i went with a lower kelvin would it matter?

As long as the ones you have have AMP connectors, most of the ebay ones have AMP connectors as well, just look at the pics to verify. As long as they are the right connectors it won't matter who makes um.....

Lower color will yield more light yielding better vision at night, It'd go with 4300-5000k but if you still want some color I'd go 6000k at the highest.

no problem, and a quick comment, don't pay more than 50-60 bucks for bulbs. Higher cost does not mean better when it's hid plug n play bulbs (trust me, I've been screwed over by the higher cost product that then died 2 months later).

Rebased bulbs blow all the time. You should just either retrofit if you haven't or just shell out and buy a set.

now a days they make HID bulbs on ebay with universal connectors. This is so that if you have an HID kit, you can just get new bulbs and install them with out any worrying about wiring. I would go with 4300K if I were you.
