93 Prelude H22 Hit & Miss Starting!!
I have a 1993 Honda Prelude SR! It has a H22 that was recently installed and much much more new parts and accesories! Lately I Have noticed that it sometimes won't start, mostly if it has been really hot or warm outside and it's been sitting in the sun or also when it has been running for a long time and the engine has gotten real hot and i turn it off for a minute and go to restart it and it won't start! So I have to wait 10 minutes or so and then it will start fine! When it's cool outside in the early mornings it hasn't happened to me once! Only if its real humid or warm out! I Have a Brand New MSD Coil, MSD Ignition Module, MSD Distributor Cap & Rotor, Moroso Wires, Honda PLatinum Plugs, Fuel pump, Fuel Filter, I do Oil Changes with Full Synthetic Oil Every 5,000 kms! When the car acts up like this I have pulled the plugs and they seem to have lots of spark but they are dry which i assume means they have no fuel!! Any Ideas or tips would be greatly Appreciated!! Thanks!!
I would say that sound to me like It could be your main relay going out. I would check that first, then go on from there. Mine had the same type of problem and replacing the main relay took care of it.
i think i got the same problem but my h22a is in my civic my couzin told me it was the main relay but i think it is the fuel pump or fuel injector
well I don't think that it's my starter because it rolls over just fine..... it just seems to be nothing their to ignite it as in fuel or spark... and I have lots of spark sooooooo.....
