Rear wheel seizes
I have an 88 Accord LXI. When I put it in gear (either reverse or forward) it will move a few feet, then the right rear wheel will lock. I put it in the other gear (reverse or forward) and it still freezes. If I engage and disengage the parking brake, the wheel will free up, but then seize again after a few more feet of driving.
I've disassembled the rear drum brake, inspected for stuck pads, obstructions, etc. and found nothing unusual. I cleaned the drum and wheel with brake cleaner, but the condition persists. Brake fluid is at normal levels and there are no signs of leaks. I'm not experiencing any other symptoms of brake problems.
Is this a brake issue or could it be something else?
