Default fan trouble

why wont my fan work???

when i plug up the plugs it will not turn on but
when i have it directly wired up to the battery it works fine

most likely your fan switch on the thermostat housing took a ****.

Is this the a/c fan or radiator fan?

check grounds... if all is good probably a bad coolant temp sensor... if you want to check it you can jump the connector at the coolant temp sensor,unplug it and jump the connector with a paper clip... thanks please let me know asap... thanks again
