EF D16Y7 PROBLEMS
I posted a thread in the all motor section but i didnt get not one post so i'll try it here...90 crx swapped in a d16y7 motor start's up NO check engine nothing like that no air leak's everything is all good, The only problem is when im like at a low RPM let's say i'm going 20 mph on 2nd gear it bog's for a second and just goes away everytime the rpm's are low it does it any idea's what i can double check ..thanks for anyhelp

Your not alone. My 88crx si w/d16a6 does the same thing at light throttle. I am leaning toward the TPS or the MAP. Being that they both are 19 years old and have 219k on them.
Plus those are the only things I haven't replaced yet. The dealer only sells the TPS and throttle body for over 5 bills, haven't priced the MAP yet.

mine has sort of the same problem and the only code im throwin is a code 9, the one for piston position sensor or something like that... so let me know if u get it fixed, also if anyone has any ideas on how to fix that code 9 that be nice too

let us know how the timing comes out, but as also stated tps and map might be going and not tossing a code.
BTW, you can get good used TPSs quite often for a ton less then new honda

checked the timing and timing is good, someone also told me like you guy's posted that it could be the TPS or MAP sensor so im gonna see if i have an extra Throttle body to change out the sensor's ..
i have a 89 si hatch and the engine jsut gave out on me. i have a 96 d16y7 laying around with a d16y8 IM and TB on the engine.
