Default My DC4 with H22 Build 56k Go away

Hey guys I have been looking for some parts for my H22, this build is going to be slow. Should be done by December. .

So I got this blown H22 with some goodies for about $250.

Here are the pics.

It brought goodies like alternator, starter, T bracket, A/C bracket, Harness, Fuel Rail, Dizzy, etc etc and some 1 good axle and one bad axle.

No wear on the Timing belt!?

In for pics of the carnage.

I was under the impression that once a rod shoots out the side of the block, it is junk. Are you going to weld it up and resleeve?

I am more than 95% sure the head is good I took it off today and it looks fresh as hell! The valves just had some carbon that was it!

So I picked up a 12 point 12mm socket today so I can take off the clutch tommorow. My friend explained to me its a 6 puck stage 3 and a clutchmasters flywheel. That is what really sold me on the swap.

Oh yeah speaking of which im planning on using a brand new block. I was thinking of pulling the crank and rods/pistons out to see what is the deal. What was crazy is that Cylinders 2,3,4 are all perfectly fine no scratches on the walls or anything!

Then cylinder 1 has minor scrapes against the walls barely feel them with my nail. I was looking that the piston is all the way at the bottom kind of like the sleeve didnt get messed up almost not 100% sure but it looks like from under that it ripped above the crank or something. Going to look at it tommorow so well see. Sorry guys for no pics tonight. Definately will have some in the morning and as for the valve cover I am going to sand it down nicely and spray some texturizing wrinkle finish and then spray it nice bronze/gold.

I am going to remove my carpet tommorow and my seats and going to spray them black! (I AM COPYING MAC24SEVEN YESS!!!!LOL)

I hate my tan interior and its so gross all dirty the way it came....

Also changing my back brakes tommorow they are making some wierd noise back there and painting the calipers bronze!

Okay guys if you didnt notice the intake manifold does not have IABs! Is that good, I know its good for top end but is a dramatic loss in midrange, I know you have a manifold like this Skunked but is it ported cause I am thinking of having it borted out bigger and same with the throttle body.

You'll be really lucky if you don't have bent valves in that cylinder that failed.

Crank and that rod are toast. If your lucky the crank can be fixed but often enough it's cheaper and easier to buy another crank or a complete shortblock.

Yeah but when speaking of which, 2 valves is no big of a deal, and as far as the pistons and rods goes im not worried on them mostly because I am getting a shortblock as meant to do in the first place.

Hey guys i got more pics now, and more good stuff. Well when I removed the Pressure plate I found this mildly used 4 puck clutch, I believe thats like a stage 4? Well all I know is I am about to order my damn Exedy stage 2 . This flywheel is really light! I am amazed and I am definately using, seems real good.

Sorry it rained and it sucks out here and its almost dark so sorry for the pics with the flash.

And yes i love using my moms sandwhich/lunch ziploc bags to hold my bolts!

Did you lift that motor with that rope tied to the water neck?
