id say your best bet is to get a couple gallons of gas and put it in a gas jug and go drivin til you run out and then you will know. if it dont work then just take out the cluster and replace the little bulb

Im not sure if this works for honda's as well, but doing work on a friend's subaru, with the fuel pump assembly out, the sending unit or whatever the device was out, so it was marking the tank as "E" and set his gas light off when we had it on accessory.

Mine stopped working (00 EX) a few years ago, and it doesn't seem as uncommon for these to go out as well. I know the 96-00 civic EX/SI's have the indicators.

Mine stopped working in my 1993 Accord at 190K, left me stranded on the way to the bar, I was pissed, I knew 415 miles to the tank was impossible

I have a '95 EX and I'm pretty damn sure it doesn't have a gas light.

That's a nice way to expletive up your fuel pump.. All of that sludge and **** from the bottom of the tank is introduced into your fuel pump/lines, and that's bad.

i learned the hard way that my gas light doesnt work. i have a 2000 si that i recently purchased. i was unaware of the small size of the fuel tank and ran out of gas on the interstate. i had a vw before that held almost 15 gallons, the si only holds about 11. i take it that these gas lights are a common problem.
