Easy question about dx to mpfi

Default Easy question about dx to mpfi

Ihave every thing wired up right ecept for one lil prob, on the distributer all wires are hooked up ecpet for two white wires, two on the plug and two on the distributer. dose it mater what way they go?Thanks

I did a seach and i found out everything i need to know and have it all done but it says nothing about two of the white wires on the dx plug and the si distributer being the same color and what way they hook up. dose it not matter ?

if you strip back the loom in the dizzy harness you will see 3 wires. grey, black and a single white. inthe grey and black wires are 2-4 other wires. (grey and black wires are really just insulation but look like wires) the single wite wire thats not insulated w/ the other wires is a power wire for the dizzy. need to be hooked up to the single white wire NOT next to any solid wire w/ a stripe. if you loko at the 7 pin plug this will all make sense. white and white/stripe both are a pair. orange and orange/stripe are a pair single white wire in the connector thats not near anything else goes to the power wire

Oh yeah, I know about the two white wires.
In reality, one is white with a very faint blue line which in our cars has faded down to nothing.
So, don't worry about the wires.
If the car won't start, then swap the two wires.
it only works one way.

well if you strip back the loom you will see the wire colors perfectly.

LOL i did strip the wire all the way back to the distributer and it all looked the same.thanks for the help

you strip it form dizzy to rest of engine harness. you went the wrong way
