hey all, I recently grabbed a motor for my dx at a local u-pick. I want to know if the engine's compression is ok, i have it on a stand right now and I dont have the tranny out. Is there anyway i can test compression with the motor on an engine stand?

 

yes, use your compression tester and use a breaker bar or a chain wrench to turn the crank to make compression in the cylinder, thats it, you may have to turn it a bit to get the cylinder on the right stroke
