well my transmission was not going into gear and was leaking so i took it off and found a hole in the side of it. then when openin the transmission up the final drive pinion shaft was broken. the shaft has 14 gear teeth and the gear has 64 i have no clue on if its a type r or a b16 final gear so if any one can help that would be great i will try to get some pics up.

LSD wasn't installed in the exploded tranny, why couldn't you use it?

 

no the lsd was installed.

 

then explain how the pinion shaft was broken.
