Default K&N electric supercharger (the one the hooks up to your air intake)

i was surfing good ol' ebay, and i ran across the electric supercharger, and i noticed the 350 price tag, and i looked and saw it was produced by K&N. It really started to get me thinking, mabye this can make a little horsepower, or it could be 100% hunk of ****, tell me what y'all think

there is a thread like this if you use the search button. And click the archive option.

My$.02

I think it's not worth the $$$ $350 for that motor, so not worth it. It doesn't even create any pressure. But I'm sure it'll help the engine get in more air.

you just contradicted yourself. if it doesnt create an increase in pressure, it cant possibly help the engine ingest more air then it already does.

as far as if its worth the $350, i say no. if your looking for a quick power adder then i say spend that $350 on a nitrous kit.

If you wanting an electirc supercharger run to walmart and buy you the cheapest electric leaf blower they have and a 400w inverter. It is much cheaper witht the same effects. IT DOESNT WORK! I tried it, waste of time.

You are the reason people keep making these electric superchargers in the first place.....it's not because they work.

IF you want to add power start by getting as much out of the motor as you can cold air kit, underdrive pully, fine tune your timing with a came gear upgrade the ignition system set the valve lash, exhaust system but 350 is not worth it the more efficent your engine runs the better it will respond to power adders. like NOS or a turbo even an electric turbo there are some cars companies that have used them. do some research there is some good stuff out there at a lower price
