Default temp gauge stuck???

i posted earlier but i didnt get enough info....any help would be great.

2004 civic dx, 5sp, daily driver. 70,000 miles. 41 mpg.
temp gauge needle was pegged at H. thought i overheated but i did not.
replaced....thermostat, fan thermoswitch, and gauge sending unit.
disconnected battery for 10 mins. reconnected battery needle spun all the way around to other side of gauge!!!!! everytime i disconnect battery and reconnect needle ends up in a different position. ?????
when i turn key to on position the needle dances up and down, and each time i turn off and on . needle winds up in a different positon.
any thoughts???? thanks........also replaced front grounding strap.

how could i add another temp gauge, and not screw up the computer. do i splice into the wires coming off the temp sending unit??

sounds like an electrical problem with your gauge cluster.
Have you tried plugging in another cluster?
