Default Quaife LSD?

Im planing on putting a new clutch in my ls tranny soon, and im thinking about buying quaife lsd for it to. Is this going to be something i can do on my own and is there anything important i should know before i try?

ive rebuilt my motor and friends engines, but ive never really messed with anything in a tranny other than replacing a clutch and pressure plate

It is not too bad at all. Just make sure that you have ball bearings for the differential as opposed to tapered roller bearings. (Did they ever have tapered roller bearings in the LS transmission?) The bad thing is that you need to have the entire differential shim set available if you hope to turn it around quickly. These are special order items from the dealer.
