Car won't start, already checked basics, HELP
I just finished up doing a cable to hydro tranny swap and some suspension upgrades. I drove the car about 2 months ago last, and have changed nothing on the engine. The battery is dead, but I am using a 2nd car to keep the battery up. When I hit the starter, the starter sounds like it's going good. I pulled 2 plugs, and I have spark about once a second. The plugs have a few drops of gas, and the top of the pistons look moist. I checked the grounds, fuel leaks, all the fuses, primed it 25 times, and the fuel pump is making noise (it's working). Since the battery was pretty much dead, is there any chance it lost the Crome tune? Compression is 112, 115, 115, 119 with the TB closed. I can go do another check at WOT, but they are consistent at least.
ANY IDEAS????????

I have a similar car ('88 CRX w/B16A) and it didn't want to start this morning. It sounded like it wasn't getting gas, as the starter/battery sounded fine. Then I remembered something the previous owner told me: He thought one of the battery terminal clamps was junk. I tightened it up and the car started. I replaced the clamp and used the car a bunch today.
Sounds like you're getting fuel and spark. Since you had battery problems, I'd start there.

I have already posted this in 3 other threads, but I had a starting problem and this was it--the main relay behind the driver side kick panel was bad. I thought that that the relay is what caused the fuel pump to kick on, but it may the relay may do something else; I can't remember.

If they were cut two months ago when you last drove your car I wouldn't worry about it. Given the fact you didn't have any check engine lights back then?
The verdict is out:
When I installed the new flywheel, I tried to use a ratchet to get the bolts off, which didn't work, it just turned the engine over. The timing belt was not all that tight...at all. The belt skipped 5, yes 5, teeth. We moved it back, started right up. It burns VTEC fluid now, cylinder 3 is where the problem is. Compression is 190, 185, 155, 187 in order. It goes through a quart of VTEC fluid every 100 miles. B20 VTEC is next, should have it in next weekend.

Yup, just get cylinder 1 to TDC by aligning the crank pulley, then check that the cam gears are at TDC. My cam gears were 60 deg off!
