so everything on my hatchy is coo except the autometer tach readings. it reads off from the actual rpm readings. wires are cut behind it wired right to the green tach lead wire on my accel ign box etc... and ideas wtf is goin on. one buddy of mine said i have to change something in the DFI programming in order for it to read properly?? im no tuning expert im stumped.

 

The DFI Gen 7 has no RPM output for an external tach. ...so there's nothing to change in the program. The Accel ign box should have a tach output for this purpose and it seems its already hooked up to your tach.

 

bad tach or signal interference?

 

you cant get rpm from your ign box ?

yea i can but its around 1000 rpm off the true reading.

Maybe you don't have the correct dip switches set up right on your ignition?

 

in the Gen 7 software

go to "configuration" then "system" .....does yours say 4 cyl on the top left ?

 

 

With my Gen 7 I get my tach output from my MSD.
