Default question for honda guru's about FITV removal

i just removed my FITV to solve my high idle issues. there were 2 holes under the unit one with vacuum and one blowing air out. i plugged the round one (with vacuum) and left the other open, and it seems to run fine. does anyone know whether the other one needs to be plugged also? does it affect anything? i searched for a while and the only info i found was about how to fix the fitv, not remove it.

both go through it. it lets a certain amount of air go through depending on how warm the coolant is. i just want to know if it is necessary to plug both air holes. i already have the coolant lines taken care of.

I just made a plate to bolt into place of the FITV that covers both holes
