hmotors sohc zc. cant beat it. 400 dolllars for a new motor. keep your tranny, install a new clutch. cold air, header, exhaust. that will make you pretty happy. made me pretty happy compared to my old dx motor

What's wrong with it? I kept my stock D16A6 until ~250K with no problems.

That mileage is still minute compared to others...and why buy a motor online. Why not go on the marketplace and save like 80%. Damn this thread is full of fail.

do the normal observations and check what needs to replaced @ a high mile marker. I.E. air/fuel filter, timing belt, water pump, seals, gaskets...seriously come on OP we don't know the condition your car is in. All I can honestly reccommend is checking everything and if it is damaged/leaking/wearing/rubbing/grinding/screaming/crying/glowing/falling off etc, keep it in mind of replacing. For a motor that can run for hours on just water for oil, I don't think you need to worry about internals unless there are obvious signs.

exhaust has a big *** hole in it, just replaced passenger side cv shaft, did tune up, coolant drain and refill oil change, currently its at the shop. it started bogging down about ten minutes into driving it, i hit the gas it goes slower. dont know what it is. all electronics work. interior is perfect few silver dollar sized rust spots on exterior. needs suspension all the way around. switching to power slot rotors and ebc pads as soon as they get ups'd to me. Not a bad car for 1300.00. for those ten minutes it drives normal it rips. cruise works but the threaded nut broke behind the plastic so i gotta find a way to fix that

Sounds like a TPS sensor going bad, or a coil problem......
