could be a few problems occuring. i have a little bit of experience with honda auto trannies. either your gear select shift lever (the one you pull up and down to change from park, reverse, etc...) is not fully engaging, or possbly the trans is low on oil.
before you get to far in try these:
-sheck atf fluid level in the tranny
-try using another gear select like D3 or D2 (does it still do this?)
-try moving the gear select up and down without puching the release button. does this do anything? if so what?
