I've never had this problem on any of my other hondas (97 Civic and 96 GSR) but BOTH of my 98 ITR's never quite make it to the "Full" mark on the gauge when I fill them up. The only way I have ever made it to the full mark was to keep adding gas to the point of overflowing the tank after the initial automatic pump shut off. But if I were to leave it up to the automatic shut off, I would never have the needle all the way to the F mark.
This really BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME haha.
Does anyone else have this problem?
PS - I realize that all pumps are different and some will allow you to add more gas than others before automatically shutting off, but I have never found a pump that will fill the tank all the way in my ITRs.

Yeah, that would bug the hell outta me too
FWIW, my Integra gas gauge reads about 1/8th tank over the "F" when I fill to auto shut off. I've never thought the Integra cluster gauges were all that well calibrated, more like educated guesses :shurg:

The DC body style for some reason are all like that, it isn't just Type R's.
You should try and put fuel in a newer dodge, they fill right to the cap at the auto shut off, if you try and top off, be ready for a shower!

My 2001 is pretty much the same.
Also when the low fuel light comes on I usually have 3-3.5 gallons remaining.

i had to calibrate my needle myself so it says whatever damn well i say. just a thought if it is indeed REALLY bugging you, just move the needle...
