That's pretty good. I've got the P2R spacer and Injen CAI as well. When I put on the BC headers I noticed a decent gain on top end. With a header, you'd be really close to 14 flat.

I don't really see it making much difference in 1/4 mile times. The reflash only gives you mid range, not top end performance. So it would only improve 1st gear which is probably mostly spent spinning. Other than that you will stay above 6K RPM where hondata doesn't increase HP. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Ummmm, yeah, I've read that before. What's your point. I said Hondata doesn't gain top end power, they even say that. So if 90% of the 1/4 is spent above the RPM level that Hondata increases power, how does hondata decrease 1/4 mile time? Like I said, it's my opinion and the link you provided only proves my point that Hondata doesn't add top end power. Thanks

by looking at the two graphs on the site you can see an increase at the 6K RPM point. that little bit of power can really help between shifts. generally speaking you end up around 6K after each shift when your going down the track.

that little bit can result in better times. also the increase in the rest of the midrange can help with 60 ft times which is a critical part of the race.

2.3 60ft... i launched at 5500 right on the neutral limiter, i lowered the tire pressure to 22psi so it barely spun. when i get a chance ill post the timeslip

"Power is gained in the midrange from 4700rpm to 6300 rpm. Power gains above 6500 rpm are negligible, although the higher rev limit will raise average power a little"

from Hondata's site..

since peak power is at 7800rpm the higher rev limiter allows you to stay close to peak power easier<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dirtySOHC’s &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Like I said, it's my "opinion" that it wouldn't help much, if at all. You are correct that it would help give you more power in lower RPM's which "COULD" help 60' times. However, being a front wheel drive car, the extra HP on the low end is only going to make you spin more off the line thus lowering your 60'. Only practice or slicks will help lower the 60', not an extra 15 HP before 6200 RPM.

ok maybe you're right about the 60ft but what about dudes with boosted setups pushing 500+ HP....is extra HP still useless in that scenerio?

and the 10ish plus increase of HP at the 6K point wont help between gears? im pretty sure it will.

whatever...it's your opinion
