any grinds or kink sounds from the linkage, if its wrong installation im pretty sure the short throw is the only thing that can be installed backwards and your shift to first, third, and fifth is super short, but the rest is longer than usual. i've heard some bad reports from b&m like the shifter braking inhalf, other than that haven't heard your case

you may want to get rid of that immediately. the B&M are notorious for breaking your shifter cables

i have it on my car, i love it. shifts are alot shorter. you may not want to put it all the way short because it still puts stress on the shifter cable. i have mine in the middle

i also have the buddy club short shifter on my type-s. Its amazing to say the least. Yes the throw is adjustable. When you have it on the shortest setting its crazy close. All around the shifter feels way solid and the gears feel like they lock in. One of my favorite mods by far. The heighth of the shift **** is about a 1/2 to 3/4" lower than stock. Install is straight forward and very easy to do if you have basic mechanical skills. You can get them on clubrsx.com for roughly 130 shipped.
