very clean inside and out. no modifications have been done. no curb rash no dings. 62k miles for 16,000? is this too high?

yeah thats what im thinking.. yellow is not my favorite color. but it seems like a decent deal on a car that holds its value well. if i can get 10k for my si id be there.

also when considering this car i must consider the s2k. insurance maybe cheaper and you can find one with less miles. but the itr is just raw. and all the work i have put into my si. from the quiafe to the port and polish. this is a hard one

apples...oranges.

regardless, if that 2001 ITR you speak of is clean and has 62K, 16,000 is a good price.

yeah it is immaculate but 16,000 is also rsx type s range which is a newer car.. ive never driven the rsx just the type r. i would think the handling on the r owns the s. so the type r vs the rsx type s, thats not so much apples and oranges is it? how do those compare?

they are also very different cars. did you know the ITR was rated one of the 10 best performance cars EVER? and THE best FWD car ever? if you are someone that wants a mad dope tight car to put 18" wheels on and hit up the local car show, then get the RSX. if you prefer a DRIVERS car that communicates with you and gives an overall raw feeling, get the ITR.

If you plan on using it as a daily. Get the RSX
If you plan on also getting a beater. Get the R

so you dont recommend rocking the r as a daily driver. ive been rocking a 2000 civic si as a daily driver for 4 years now. i know the R has a rarity factor but why not rock the r as a daily driver?

Well, I guess you may live in an area not prone to theft. I don't daily drive mine, and can think of tons of other cars I'd rather daily drive. Don't get me wrong I love my R, which is why I don't daily drive her.

Took my R to work when my Suby was getting a clutch install, second day they tried stealing her. 12 noon broad daylight. Didn't feel like driving home one night after an Auto X stayed at the GF house, tried stealing her as well. I'm terrified that if I give a thief the chance to steal her, they will.

theft sucks, luckily where i work they would have trouble stealing it and at my apartment it is kinda hidden in the back. it would be near impossible to steal it and i can get my room mate to block it in overnight relatively easily. and i have no problem killing anyone who tries to steal something i worked my *** off for. the judicial system takes to long. luckily im not in california. there are some rough areas around here where i would be at risk but kill switches and removing fuses deter. i also have full coverage but id hate to see what they would total out a stolen type r for 10,000 or worse.

all you need to know is if they want it, they will get it one way or the other. they will break into your house, they will break into another car that is blocking it. they will do what it takes. its a car we all love, but not worth killing someone over. but a slight beatdown, thats different.

run a quick search for stolen cars in the ITR forum and you will see.

DONT get it if you want to drive it on the streets. Even if its only a weekend car. This car is ONLY good for the tracks.

even if you only want to drive it on weekends, that means that your going to go to parties, movies, dinner, ... your going to go somewhere to have fun, and your going to leave the car alone.

Because of theft, this car is basically only good for people who have another car to drive around in, and ONLY want a car they can track for a good price.

I know the car is one of the top 10 performance cars and the best fwd car, but unless its your track car, all that stuff doesnt matter because its either going to get stolen or your going to ruin your life because your always going to be paranoid

I have a 2000 Yellow ITR with 85k and it's in great shape and I'll take $13,500 for it and no cheaper. This has been my daily driver for over 5 years and never had a problem with it being a daily driver. You can drop the back seats down and you can pack alot of stuff in the back. Try that with a S2000. I also read about a new security item for cars that wires into your ignition and it has a plug that pop and have to replace it to get the car to start. It was in Car and Driver or Road and Track can't remember. I have an ad in the Type R forum and in the classfieds section if you want to save some money and buy a car that hasn't been abused.

haha, wow man, get a life

Please don't listen to this guy, get full coverage and don't worry about it, I left mine in mall parking lots, overnight on the side of the road, movie theatres, parked on the street for days and never had a problem w/ thefts or break-ins. I WAS a little paranoid, but in the long run I never had a reason to be.
