WHAT? I never knew you could melt a piston, please tell me more.
OP, it all comes down to what you intend to do with the vehicle: DD, Auto-x, or 1/4 mile?

when too much boost and over revving
d series can handle 210 hp on stock
internals on turbo at 9 psi
til number one piston melts
completing
then has been done
on my a6 block
and y6 head
running dsm 14b at 10 psi
and after 4 runs at rockfalls
i blew the mini me
and that was that
lost to a vr4
partially
a half car lenght

So, your engine got up to 1220 degrees Fahrenheit and melted the piston? I are confused.
Just. Please. Stop. Posting.

im sure melting a piston wasnt becuase of over boost.
i cant remeber what my dad told me.
but i am sure it had something with running high octane or something, or running real rich
i forget if the feul mixture or air mixture cools the pistons?
could be completley wrong but i always thought over boost would end up pushing a rod threw your block. not melting anything though

Because they are crap. I just got back from the scca round this morning, and nope, no ford four cyl there either.
Ford four bang fails.
