raptor shift light problem
hey guys bought a raptor shift light, its grounded, and powered right but for some reason when i rev it it bounces of a rev limiter at like six grand. its a zc dohc the light signal is ran of the blue wire off the dizzy which is the negative wire i believe what could it be? is the black and yellow wire the negative? anything else anyone can think of? any help appreciated.
this might be a weird question....
does the light not turn on when free revving it in the driveway?
try driving it down the street. those funky brand gauges sometimes dont work unless in motion.
also, check the bulb, sometimes they burnout during installation if you dont run an inline fuse.

it revs in driveway but ends up hitting a rev limiter or someething. it works in motion buy only till 6000 rpm, the bulb is good, i was right on the blue wire being the negative wire right? i am kind of lost.

ive got a raptor in my mustang and it works great, you just have to hook the signal up to the right signal source...
high quality part and works great if installed correctly... just find a pinout on the connector for you dizzy and find your tach signal... or do like i did and tap off of the signal wire leaving your ECU...

if you cant find that then you don deserve to have a shiftlight...
either here on H-T or goto the Apex'i site and look for a VAFC manual... pin out is in there for most ecus.
