Problems with rear mount bracket in Hatch
Hey guys, I was wondering...I bought my civic a while back, completely bone stock, now as some know im doing the GSR swap. Its all done except for one thing, besides the fact that i need to get a new fuel rale because the one i have has the FPR that blocks the intake temp sensor, but my rear mount bracket wont line in with the mount. Me and my friends have tried everything we know. I got a new rear mount bracket, I had ebay innovative look-a-like mounts, and not have Hasports, and it still wont line up...any suggestions? I'm all out of ideas, thanks.
you need a 90-93 integra mount bracket and then the mount has to be moved to the bolt holes to the left. not where the original d series mount came out of, there are 2 sets of holes on the rear crossmember
actually if your looking at the holes it should be the hole to the right (closer to drivers side) not left http://hasport.com/tech/installs/EFB2.htm , and by not lining up, do you mean by some inches or a couple mm's? and yes it does have to be a 90-93 rear t bracket in order to work
Well, I do have the 90-93 Integra rear mount bracket, but it seems like the bracket is hitting the rear crossmember...i dont know what thats about...it looks like the rear mount needs to come forward to the two front holes, because i can mount the bracket to the trans, its just getting the mount froward into the bracket...the only reason im thinking that is because the bracket has no room to move backwards...that sound like it would work?

correct!
correct!
we have never used any mounts other than Hasport, but here is what the installation instructions for the Hasport say:
Test fit the rear mount on the rear engine cross-member. The rear mount uses THE TWO BOLT HOLES NEAREST THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR. Note the area directly in front of the mount. This area of the rear cross-member will need to be bent down to clear the rear engine bracket. Test fit the bracket on the mount after bending the cross-member to make sure enough was bent down.
i would assume other brands of mounts would be the same

If the motor is already bolted into the car and that bracket is not back there it is going to be almost impossible to get it in now..I always line that bracket up as im droping the motor in cause its so annoying
