"Domestic" wheels as FWD drag wheels?
Ive been searching around for a decent 15" drag wheel for my ITR. The car is still 5 lug, and I dont want to swap to 4 lug. There arent too many options for wheels in 5 lug, and typically they will run $250+ per wheel from places like Bogart or Weld. I could go with something cheap like a Rota but anything wider than 7" is usually special order and you have to buy 4. Exospeed plans to make a 5 lug but Id rather not wait until next year.
I was looking around today and came across a Mustang wheel that said 5x114.3 lug pattern. I found that odd and then realized that 5x4.5 (a typical domestic lug pattern) and 5x114.3 are the same. So then I started searching around some more, and ended up on Summit's website where you can narrow your search by size, backspace, bolt pattern, etc. It turns out there are several options in the size Im looking for (15x8, 5x4.5 lug pattern, 4.5-5" backspace) and some of them are only around $120 each for an aluminum wheel. The only thing I wouldnt be sure of is if they would clear the ITR calipers (spacer could fix this) and if the lugs/shanks will work.
Is there any reason why these wheels wouldnt work on a FWD car as long as the sizes look like they are correct? And Im not familiar with shanks so can we run shank lugs on our cars? Some of the wheels actually had regular conical style lugs as well.

thanks for the offer francisco, but if i can get these other ones for just over 100/each then ill be saving a nice chunk of change.
is there any reason why these wouldnt work other than clearing my calipers or the lugs/shanks?

Mustang.
I myself am going to order some Weld skinnies from jegs.com made for Mustangs.
I was going to order the skinnies but I can't afford the tires
to make it out to BOTI in Las Vegas. I need a sponser for rear tires on skinnies

i know a probe had the same 5 lug as a honda 5 lug from past exp. and i've seen mustang wheels on a impala(newer one) which i think are the same as a vette, and s10s..(s10 extreme wheels came pretty wide)
