D2S refers to the bulb. Almost all HID projectors use a D2S bulb, except for a few that use D1S bulbs which have the igniter built into the base of the bulb.
As for FX35 bi-xenons, it's going to depend on the dimensions of the projector, size and location of the bi-xenon solenoid(s) and other factors when it comes to how easy or hard it is to retrofit.

don't worry about the whole thing... as long as the dimensions are right like patrick said above, it's pretty cake... once you set aside the hours to do it! i've been meaning to do retrofits for my new cars, but i've been too lazy. time and will are the biggest hurdles!

I vow that my next car shall have factory HID projectors so I don't have to deal with this retro crap!
unless I want to be like MTK Kommander who retrofits cars that even come w/ HID projectors already because he's not happy with the performance of the HID projectors it already has (like E46 BMW's with S2000 projectors and such)
