Default 92 cb7 throttle body

i was helping a friend of mine change out his throttle body on his accord last night. we replaced it with a stock cb7 tb. we changed it because of the tps. after swapping the old for the new it shot straight to 3k rpm. i know i did everything right, but why did it shoot straight to 3k? did i miss something or what?

side note, we put the old one back on but the tps is still jacked on it

If the idle shot up like that you obviously have a vacuum leak. Even if you think you did everything right, check your work again.
