the 93 models (and possibly 94 models, although i'm not sure) more often than not, have leaky/whistling from the targa top, which was a defect that they later fixed. Just be sure to fully test it out if you can (drive fast w/ windows up and radio off, look for water damage), otherwise it is something like a $700 fix that is only available through honda....

if the top is good when you get it, take care of it... at least twice a year you should lube the seals... if you search the net there are many informative articles on this matter

can't come up with anything else right now, i love my sol...

def. look for a leaky roof, its an expensive fix if you need to replace the seals, and watch for wear on the side of the seat, were fat asses rub there but every time they get in. It will be hard to find one that has a perfect seat. Just something to watch for. Try to at least get an Si, if not the VTEC model. The S is a turd, slow and no rear disc.

targa leaks for sure.

alot of the glove compartments break for some reason.
the aux lights burn up really fast.
other then that, they're just kind of heavy feelin.

I thought I'd heard that the seals were no longer available through Honda.

as mentioned, check the top for leaks (tho i have a '93 and never had problems) listen for water sloshing in the trunk and rear window area. The door material wrinkle is a given. Check the glove box, ashtray make sure they arent broke. But those things can be fixed... definately try to get an SI instead of the S model (rear drums on the S, easiest way to tell)... and if you find an unmolested VTEC model (not likely) jump on it!
