I currently own a 1995 honda prelude, i was wondering what hood dampers can i use that will allow the hood to still sit flush with the fenders and the rest f the car.

Hawkze did make a thread on this, the damper sat flush, but he states that they are not strong enough to hold the stock hood. im looking for dampers that are strong enough to hold a stock hood up, and allow the hood to sit flush.

I definitely got to do this.. Been planning on it for awhile... I don't have a Hood Prop, my car didn't come with one.. :S It's so hard working on that thing...

Yeah, they really aren't, although it's certainly possible to find stronger dampers

Get some made for a car with a larger hood...something like a Supra, Corvette, etc...
Another thing you can do is change the length of the dampers with a threaded rod to get the right amount of leverage. My extended dampers with the CF hood really sends it up pretty quick on their own, so I would think if the hood was a bit heavier it would just go up slower or you would have to do it by hand (no biggie).

So Invader, you used the the GodSpeed Dampers on your Stock Hood then? Just wondering where got the GodSpeed Dampers?
I'm going to look for different types/brands and see what I can find...

They were on eBay. They're the same ones Hawkze used. I used the extensions he tried in the first go around, not the super long ones from the revision. Those might help, but I honestly don't think it'll be quite strong enough

Yeah, it's just going to take some 'tuning' to get it to work just right on any hood. Anything can be done you'll just have to play with the length and mounting location.
