Simple question: Can I fit a 8.5" wide slick on a 6.5" Rota Slipstream?

 

it probably could, im running 8.7's on a 7"
and i used to run a 10.5 on an 8.5 wheel, but they were the rear wheels on my t type. pm john. he recomended me the 7"s so i dont think thats too much of an issue.

 

i am using that wide on a 6.5" rim, IM john to make sure tho

 

We are running a 24.5x8.5x15 tire on a 15x5.5 Si wheel, so I wouldn't see why there would be a problem with a 6.5" wheel.

 

john has told me in the past that they dont recommend going anymore than 1" over or under the tire size.

 

After looking at the wheel/tire combo we could've probably gotten better traction with a wider rim width.

But we were satisfied with 1.77 60-fts at the time.

 

i have an 8" on a 5.5" rim, doesnt' maek full use of the contact patch it seems like, but it sure beats any street tires,

 

wondering if a 24x8x13 slick would fit on a vx rim???

If I'm wrong I stand corrected but I was almost positive they're 14's also

so you are saying vx's and hx's are the same size lol

 

I mounted 23x8x13 m&h's on vx wheels. They fit, they look ridiculous.
Best 60 ft i could get was 1.9 lol
Went to 13x7.5 lensos and pulled a 1.775.

Just for reference.

 

vx=13"
hx=14"

i have it the same problem, i mounted 22x9x13 in vx rim(13x5.5)
Best 60 ft 1.9 with tractions Bars and OBX LSD, now i have lenso to.
Hope better 60 ft...
Do you have Traction Bars?
