Is there a way to tell if a type-r header is a real 1 or if it is a repilca?

 

Only works if you have a pool or something close to it, pond... stick it the water, the real one sinks, fake one floats.

that only shows a stock ls/gsr manifold not the type-r

 

Post a photo of the manifold in question.

If it's a USDM manifold, I wouldn't be overly concerned about it, since it isn't much of a "high-performance" item to begin with. It doesn't differ all that much from the LS or '00-'01 GS-R manifold.

 

the link that is posted in this topic shows a stock manifold, my friend has a header that is supposed to be a type-r header and says it is worth $400, but i seen 1 that looked identical to his but was aftermarket and was only $150, and wanted to see if it was real or a fake!
