I JUST BOUGHT STOCK FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS AND I BOUGHT SOME SI WHEELS FOR IT, BUT MY CAR LOOKS LIKE CRAP!! IM NOT TOO INTO BODYWORK AND DETAIL..I WANTED TO AT LEAST STRIP THE PAINT OFF BUT I WAS WONDERING BEFORE I GO AND MESS SOMETHING UP DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE I CAN START AND WHAT TO DO? ANY HELP WITH BE GREATFULLY APPRECIATED.

 

 

Are you going for an all out restoration, just a good looking quality color change, quicky refinish? If you want a guaranteed good end result you would be better off having someone with the knowledge show you and help you out. Its wise to not start until your ready with all the equipment, material and a plan of attack. The paint doen't "look" that bad at all, if its not fucked up it doesn't need to be stripped unless your doing some super resto.

 

Hey thanks for the tip you are right i should have been more specific. Ima paint it at a body shop next summer. long story short the stock purple hood popped up cracked my window so now i have a brand new oem ready for paint hood. now i was thinking the same not to strip th epaint but i just want that purple gone im not looking to restore it completely just at least a descent look till i paint.

 

anyone. basically im looking to just snad my fenders anyone have a write up??

hey thanks,,,,i looked there but it basicaslly shows you the whole process but thanks for the info i will be taking a look at the forum again. I will be posTing up pictures tonight of my car so far in prgogress.... my car!! Its a piece of work in progress but hey it will get there and when it gets there im keeping it!!!
