had brake pads and axles change, worse then before
had pads and axles changed. tech left the driver side brake line loose or got loose and lost all fluid, took back and had a bleed to fix that but now i have a sqealing noise from the passenger side. also my passenger wheel makes noise when turning left. any help with this?
first of all you do NOT have to disconnect the BRAKELINES to disconnect either one, the axle or the brakes my advice is take it back to the "MECHANIC" that did your work and tell him he is full of ****! as far as the wheels are concerned did he touch them? did you do all the brakes or just the front? any time that you replace rotors and pads there is NO bleeding involved you just remove the resivoir cap for the brakes. and when you reset the calipers the fluid will rise in the resivoir and you don't have to apply fluid at all. if he bled them cause you had a bad caliper and replaced it. then there is some bleeding involved but not alot and you can solve that with a simple thing called GRAVITY BLEEDING.
the bleeding was done because the resorvoir ran dry, it emptied, while driving. all four pads, no rotors we're replaced. axles were driving ok, until i took it back after it ran dry. so after the bled was done the right axles was making noise while turning left.
what was the reason your resivoir ran dry? where was it leaking from? if your axle was messed up it should have made noise before. that doesn't just happen overnight. what was the name of the place that you took it to? was it a big company or a mom and pop shop? if it is a mom and pop shop then you are probably going to have a problem getting them to fix it and make it right. put mor info about your car and i'll see if i can help you.
Best thing to do is jack it up and take a look. There are a lot of things that could be making the noise. Could be the shim touching the rotor. Could be one of the anti-rattle clips touching. Could be the dust shield touching.
Hope this gets you started.
Hope this gets you started.
tthe resivoir ran dry because a hose got loose during the installation. it leaked from front driver side. the axles were bad for a while, it didnt click, but i knew they were bad. also got the wheel bearings and lower ball joints replaced today, and evrythings runs great. no more "clack" from accelerating, on more "hum" noise from bearings, and the pad and rotor were just clean, and now no more sqeak. But thanks for all your help.
