Default Which ITR Swap?

I'm ready to get my motor. cash and all. But i'm having a problem picking which year to go with. Should I get the 96-97 ITR swap cause of the price. Or should I get the 98+ ITR swap for all the extra goodies. I have cash in hand for the 96-97 ITR. But for the 98+ ITR swap, I have to dip into my savings. If you guys were in my shoes what would you do?

98+ ITR Swap comes with

4-1 header
cams are more agressive than the pre 98
4.75 final gear

those are the only things i can think of that the 96-97 ITR swaps don't come with.

I don't thnik it will make that big of a difference. Get whichever one you can afford.

If you do want the other one, wait another couple of weeks and just save up. Don't dip into your savings.

Is there really much a difference with the 4-1 header, cams, and 4.75 FD?

Yes, there is.

Just wait a few weeks and save your money. When you have enough, buy the 98+

unless you are getting a jdm itr, there is no 96 itr in the states.
and if you do go itr, go with a later one, they do have benefits that the earlier ones did not have.

I love my 01 R motor. plus, the newer the motor the better luck you'll have not getting one that is beat up.

So I should just save up another grand or so for the 98+? Seeing that many people have positive feedback on the 98+ ITR swaps

just keep your mouth shut about what has been done to your car, that will do wonders. Dont go showing it off all the time. A turbo motor is just as likely to get stolen than an ITR swap. A good paging alarm would do good too. hidden gas cut off too.

Yeah I think it's best not to go showing off what has been done to my car. SPeaking of which. My car was broken into last night while I was typing up this topic. All they stole was my cd player and ipod. The cd player didn't have a face to it. And the ipod was hidden. (ipod was hooked up directly to the cd player from the back.) At least my car is in one piece and not in a chop shop somewhere 10 miles from here. expletive THIEVES!!! I believe in karma and what goes around comes around. They will get theirs in the end.
