hey people. the cruise control on my 96 civic EX turns on and sets to cruise fine (cruise indicator light turns on), but the car just slows down and doesn't cruise. any ideas how to troubleshoot? is there a fuse I can check? The control turns on and sets, so it might not be the fuse anyway. thanks.

 

Check the vacuum line going from the actuator under the hood going to the reserve cannister in the driver corner by the firewall, then over to the intake. Simplest way would be pull of the line at the actuator and see if there's vacuum there with the car running. If not, trace that back until you find the line off, broken, etc. If there is vacuum, make sure the plug for the actuator is plugged in. See if you can hear a vacuum leak when the car is running coming from the actuator.
