Here it is... I am using Crome (free) with the added free plug ins made by other programmers. These tools are mostly only supported on the P72 and P30 ecu.
I am using some P28 ecu's.
Is it possible to simply copy the P28 Maps and paste them into the P72 Maps and then just disable IABs and Knock? Will this modified P72 base file be able to successfully load and run on a P28 board? Just want to be sure here! Thanks!
I was not able to find this exact answer here or on PGMFI

Yes you can but why. Just use a P30 as your base then copy paste P28 base to it. Make sure you modify your Vac and RPM to match the P28. The only advantage to using a P72 is the 2ndaries which unless you have added them to your P28 its useless. Like stated b4 dont forget to disable Knock.

I know.
What I wanted to make sure what that a P72 code would work on the P28 ecu. I wasn't sure if for each ecu u had to start with that particular base or not.

you can use any base you want, on pretty much any ECU. (there are exceptions)
I've run P72 code in P28s before, it runs fine.
I tend to use P30 code more often though, less plug-in conflicts.
