Default Wheel Offset????

I'm looking to buy some Rota C8's, and noticed that all they came in for the 15" rim was a +38mm offset. Is that close to stock, becuase I don't want the wheels sticking out of the fenderwell. Also, does anyone know if when you buy wheels from like http://www.machiii.net do they supply centercaps for the wheels, or do you buy them from somewhere else or what. I don't want the centercaps that say Rota on them, I was looking for some plain silver or black centercaps for them.

Anybody?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Stock offset is 45mm. The 38mm offset shouldn't stick out. They should, however, be about flush with the side of the car.

If the offset is a bigger number, will the wheel stick out from the car? Thanks.

If the offset is numerically higher, the wheel would be inside the wheel wells further....

So is there really any choice when ordering Rota wheels with the offset, or do they only come in a +38 offset in the 15" wheel? That's all I have seen on sites where I might order them, and I was just making sure I wasn't going to have ghetto wheels that stuck out from the side of my car. So you guys are sure about which way the numbers go for the wheel sticking out, and the wheel tucking inside the wheel well.

Thanks,
Jon

Jon, Most 15x6.5 Rota wheels come in a +40 offset, subzero, slipstream, attack etc. The Circuit-8, however, is offered in a +38 because of its design. Most FWD import cars have zero problems with fitment using a +40 +38 on a 6.5" wheel.

authorized Rota distributor.

You'll be fine with +38mm offset if the wheels are 15x6.5. Last year, I borrowed a set of TE37 from my friend to put on my Integra for an auto-x. Those TE37s are 15x6.5 +35mm offset on 195/55R15 tires. My Integra was dropped about 2.75" at the time. There was no rubbing. So you should be alright with that offset.
