Hey are K24 head ports (intake and exhaust) the same as K20a3? My buddy is swapping heads and need to make sure the ports match up before we get knee deep in parts. Already searched with no prevail. Thanks for any help!!
EDIT: Is it even worth the time to swap these heads?? After doing some reading, It seems these heads are basically the same, both using the economic i-vtec system...Please, someone chime in!!!

The best k24 head would probably be the k24a2 which comes out of the TSX. It had "real" i-VTEC and is very similiar to the more popular k20a2 head found on the Type-S. The only main differences are the cams and the vtc cam sprocket. The TSX has a 25 degree, and the Type-S has a 50 degree, the 50 degree is preferred because of more tunability, you are able to swap the cam sprockets if needed or have the 25 degree machined out to 45 degree, on certain combinations you don't want to advance the timing anymore than 45 degrees or there may be piston-to-valve clearance issues. Also, the k24a2 has one of the most aggressive exhaust cams of all the k-series with exception to maybe the 06+ TSX's.

Awesome info! But I'm guessing the k24 head he has is not the one off the TSX...so other than the TSX head, are the heads the same? Thanks again for your comments!
