I'm getting ready to install an autometer electric short sweep water temperature guage into my eg hatch. I have an lsvtec with a b18a1 block and a b16 head. I found where the stock sensor connects and I have an adapter to tap there, but what I'm wondering is how do I install it without cancelling out the stock sensor. Is there another place to tap it that is better? do i wire the harness into the new sensor or negate the factory one all together? i know the computer makes changes based on the temperature, but I am looking for other opinions. thanks in advance.
