Sup guys my friend has a 00 accord coupe 4 cyl and sometimes it acts like it wants to stall but doesn't and sometimes it wont shift into second gear. it comes up with a code that's generic. One repair shop said it needed a computer but they couldn't fix it. Another place said it was the tranny but we left that place very fast. Has anyone had this problem with theres?

 

More that likely it is the tranny. For the 6th gens (98-02) the auto trannies were defective and had an extended warranty for 7yrs/100k miles. Tell your friend to get it checked right away because mine was doing the exact same thing before it went out. See if the dealer will do a warranty fix (probably not) or at least absorb some of the cost. He's probably looking at a charge of at least a couple grand for a junkyard, rebuilt or new tranny + install. Good luck
