Default [pics] 3" ac ps b series dp and dump

Bored the other night at the shop and made this out of a 2ft strait section of stainless.

Let me know what you think, its the first dp I've made from scratch.

I just hope it fits ok on my GSR, I mocked it up on a b18a1

um why the weird routing? I can't see why you couldnt just bring it straight down. Is there some clearance issue I can't see?

looks pretty good I can see what you mean on clearancing. Hey if push comes to shove instead of wasting time to grind the welds you could easliy kill two birds with one stone and just header wrap it. Suggestion?

What flows better - a normal radius 2.5" the transition to 3" or a super tight 3" bend?

'wade' yea its just for personal use, I believe I already have it sold with the revhard mani for $300 locally. I see your from KY, its nice to see some locals on here

'manbearpig4silly' I flared it from 2.5 to 3" and by the time I did that and the first couple pies I was hitting the ac pointed down. The next one I will shoot it strait down. This was my first dp.

'rcautoworks' I didn't think of this, I'm def going to measure tommarrow at the shop and find out. Thanks for the tip, you may have saved me some trouble.

'rc000e' Its not the prettiest but its the first time I've used my mig and the first dp i've ever made, I made a couple after this one and they were a lil better looking.

'reyke' yea spacing wise it was pretty tight. I still have some grinding to do and do plan on wraping every pipe under my hood with heat wrap.

'muckman' I wish I knew

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

My next project is a top mount and dp. I've already got all the materials. I will start on it as soon as I stretch out my swing arm on my super pocket bike. I just finished my ghetto welding cart, it sure turned out funny looking. haha.

Some of the weird bends were to allow clearence for the bolts on the 5 bolt flange.. I've put it on the turbo and taken it off I bet thiry times.. all the bolts you can get it, two of them are a bit tricky but its do able.

Thanks for the replys.
