problem with vtec

Default problem with vtec

i got a 96 gsr on my 94 eg....but every time it hits vtec at 4500rpm it dont start pulling until 6000rpm... i going and change my map sensor,spark plug ,cables and its till doing it....if i change my tps sensor well that work???

no tps affects idles....check what do you have for exhaust?...is it stock? do you have a catalic converter? might want to check thats.
Have your valves been set?

oh and btw why does your Vtec engage at 4500rpm??

are u sure your vtec engages at 4500 RPM?? cause mine (b16a) engages at 6000 rpm

sounds like the IAB and no vtec.

make sure there is oil in it.

i got a n1 sytle muffer, no catalic converter ,jdm 4 in 1 header, with a p72 ,oil is good, but i still dont understand why it starts pulling at 6000rpm if vtec starts at 4500rpm?

Your confusing your IAB's in your intake manifold for VTEC. Vtec on a GSR doesnt engage until 5800...trust me your ears and butt dyno are confusing you

whoever told you that vtec engages at 4500rpms was wrong...unless you have a vtec controller hooked up, which i doubt, but it still would start pulling hard until 5800

that is just the exhaust note changing. vtec doesnt come on until 5800.
