A friend of mine bought a car, it has a faze tach in it, but it wasnt hooked up..
It has a Green, Red, and black wire, then it has some kind of other plug comming offf
I know reds power, blacks ground, and im guessing the green is the tach signal wire
but the tach dosnt work, Do i need to hook the power up to a constant power, or to somthing that will go on when i turn the lights on or what, Whats this other plug go to ?

Not 100% positive about that.
I think that Faze is a "performace" line of Sunpro.
With the tach that I had, all I had to do was hook up the green wire to the signal and the red and black. It worked fine. Make sure you have the right wire

I have a 5" Faze tach. the red wire you need to run to a power source that turns on with the car, the black of course is the ground, and the green wire needs to be ran to the distributor. the plug that runs from the tach is for the illumination box, it plugs into a cube box and on the other end of the box is another red and black set of wires. black is ground and red needs to be ran to the fuse box so it will turn on with your headlights.
I hope this information helps.
