Ok let's get the story straight, I come from a long line of Ford cars and finally thinking about going to the honda market (passion for driving high revving motors). So start the bashing haha

Anyways, I'm looking at CRX's and I see left and right motor swaps in them in the for sale section and in a nutshell, I'm looking for a rundown of what the differences are detween the D, B, H, and K series motors. I know the D series were stock in a lot of the old honda's and don't have much power blah blah So I see a whole lot of B16 and B18 motor swaps. The # is the displacement but what makes one motor any better than the other? Power? Higher Rev's?

I am really clueless about any of it and would highly appreciate some knowledge or pointing me in the right direction towards old threads that have the info I need. Thanks people!

well you found a good place to start with honda's honda-tech.com has bottomless info..

hit the search engine on the top right corner.. type in whatever you want to search for..make sure you click the "archived" check box...

i could sit here and explain for days the difference between the engines you just mentioned..but it'll be a waste of my time..if you catch my drift..no pun intended

Wikipedia goes to much into which cars had the motors as appose to the differences between them. As for N/A or turbo, I just came from a 345hp/375tq AWD Subaru Legacy GT Turbo. I loved it when I wanted to drive really fast, but as a daily the jerkiness of the boost sucked...
