i use to have ls-vtec, but been out of the JDM world for awhile, i had a 97 m3, and a 2001 s4 stage 3 now....but this guys b20-vtec i ran into...and want to know what i should ask him, im really interested in it....

comperssion / leakdown numbers

leaks? smoke? clean title?

 

do you have strict emmissions in va? will it pass obd2 if need be?

 

emissions im not worried about...but yeah other then compression...anything else...what should i offer....and his b20 block, from what year crv...what about head wise...what kind of compression will i be runnin on a b16 or b18c1 head maybe even a b15c5....

well the intake mani is gsr, and that only fits a gsr head, (an ls flange is the same but thats not an ls head)

also piston to valve clearance.

thats dfinately a gsr head

 

might want to see who did the b20vtec conversion..

 

judging from his engine parts list, i'd avoid it altogether. you can never trust how well someone did an engine build unless you were right there with them. a b20vtec is not something you want to take lightly.
