i just did a compression test on my b17a and after i was done i started my car and the engine light came on. anyone else expierence this or have information on why this would accur???

 

What's the code? I assume the car starts?

Did you pull the ECU fuse when you performed the test?

 

i didnt pull it I F-ING forgott

 

I made that mistake and blew my ignition coil...

You just remove it from the distributor and test it with a multimeter. If the reading is not within a certain range (I forget what the range is), then it has to be replaced. You can find instructions on this site, in a Hayne's manual, and most likely in the Helm's manual.

 

ok. the car bogged when i took it around the block spark plugs turned black

 

engine light flashes 3 times says its the map sensor
