i have a 91 std hatch with a z6 and a p06 converted to a p28. my problem is i cannot get the motor to idle for the life of me. when i start it cold it wont idle unless i give it gas to keep it going. when it gets warm it will idle for a little while but as soon as i give it gas it dies. or when i let it idle it will idle down to like 200 then it will die. and there are no cels. if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

 

have you tried to adjust the idle with the idle screw? maybe the chip is bad or the socket could have not been soldered good.

 

yes i have tried the idle screw and it gets better for a little while then it justs dies out. and i hope the chip isnt bad. would i need a new ecu?

I would try another ecu just my .02 cents

 

so i tried to start it and it idles at like 2or 300 but it sputters real bad and the iacv is making the loudest sucking noise ive ever heard. like with the intake on it almost whistles. what can cause this? thanks in advance for the help.
