Default Prelude on 15's?

im looking for some winter tires and i was wondering if 15's are a good fit for prelude?

because of the weight of the car i wasent sure if 15's are maybe too small?

i know stock are usually 16's....but a friend is willing to sell me his 15's at a good price...

if im not mistaking there 195/60/15

thanks

I would try and run a 205/55/15 size. probably find a better selection of winter studs with that size.

i'm not sure about the 5th gen, but the 4th gen came stock w/ 15's, so they deffinately r not too small.

Been covered so many times in the exact same situation. 15's will fit just fine, 14's are too small to clear the front brakes on a 5th gen

15s work great, even with the vtec rotors. i run the 205/50/15 but for winter i would run something a little bigger like the 205/55/15 or a 215/55/15 even

Wrong, better to use 195 width tire then a 215 for the winter. Think snow ...

A smaller contact patch on icy roads is better for traction. The reason you ride/slide snowboards or skies down the mountain rather than just your shoes is because of the increased surface area on the snow.

works for mud tires too. the narrower the tire the fast you can cut though the mud, but we don't have that problem.

I rock 195/65/15's on my DD for winter.....cuts through snow like butter.
KILLS my acceleration on Dry pavement.....but I hang with the 4x4 crowd when it snows......

i dont konw thestock size of ur lude, but 195/55 sounds like civic/teg territory

i think ludes need 185/65, 195/60, 205/55 or so?

195/60 is a better match than 195/55 for a 5g. Dunno about the others.
