Pre Registry for all sportsman racers NHRA Pomona Oct 20th – 21st

The Sportsman Alley would like to thank all the support you guys are giving back to us.
But we need your help. We need some small feed back about what you guys would like to have or see at the Sportsman Alley Venue. We have some really great ideas, but would love to have your input as racers/ crew members on the presentations and support for our sponsors.
So to show your support and appreciation, we ask if you guys can fill out a Pre-Registry for the last event for the NHRA Sony Xplod series here on H-T. We would like to see how many sportsman racers will be attending the Pomona event, so we can put together some fantastic programs and prizes for all you drivers and crew members. Remember, were open to all valid ideas that you may have. Let us hear about them! Make sure you register!
Thanks again for coming out to race in the NHRA Xplod series!! The Sportsman Alley will do their best to provide support for those who come out to race! Thanks again.
So please copy and paste the table below and add your info in.

Talk about the timing light issues that left NHRA Moroso a little sour. This way drivers know what to do/expect.

Find some ways to get cars out to the races. I have some ideas. Locals dont want to make a catch pan or buy a sample valve for 1 race. Make them sign a waiver that lets them run one race during the season without them. They still have to do fuel check obviously. Also, if they oil down the track, they are DQ'd from the event no matter what. This way you get the locals out to compete. I have other ideas too

most interested in discussion topics that focus on how to get more spectator turnout, what the racing sanctioning bodies can do more to help and how can various competing sanctioning bodies better coordinate their respective racing schedules so that racers are able to make most events that do not overlap on the same weekend for different sanctioning bodies.

What is NHRA going to do to fill the stands? The powerade series and NOPI events fill the stands better than NHRA sportsman events.
Why does the payout seem like it's not up to par?
Why so many penalties and rule changes throught the course of the season?

This thread was mainly for racers that will be in competition at the last 2 events, however everyones voice is just as important as Mr. Green’s lol
If you are not going to race these events I still would like to have you input as to show your support for the series and keep it for future events in 2008.
So feel free to enter your info and questions that you would like to discuss about sportsman classes and what we can do to better them as a whole.

Diaper and catch pan discussion, why is it needed for Street Stock and not for brackets? IMHO it's fair if it's EVERYONE or do it by ET/Trap. Also, how do you get more different makes and models (other then Honda obviously) to run in SFWD and SS?

Street Stock gets no love from a lot of All-Motor racers. They don't like racing on street tires and full exhaust systems. Is it possible for NHRA to add a new class to the program that allow All-Motor cars to race on slicks, and no exhaust? Street All-Motor class. I bet you will have at least 23 cars trying to qualify for that class per event.

i agree a power street TYPE class would be good. small turbo cars on radials (the guys that cant compete in SPFWD) and no all motor guys want to run on street tires, so let them run on slicks (look at the turn out from MIR a couple weekends ago)
catch cans: it almost seems 80% of the cars that run spfwd have problems with their catch cans with them filling up, over flowing etc. i think for next year they should tech your catch can set up during tech inspection. most oil clean ups seem to be from this.
how soon do we get to know next years schedule so we can start putting proposals together?
RULE CHANGES?! before we go spending money in the off season, is there any rule changes that are going to happen before next year?
